Welcome! I'm Vijay
I'm Vijay. By day I work in business intelligence, which is a tidy way of saying I spend my time turning messy data into stories people can actually use: the patterns, the trends, the occasional inconvenient truth hiding in a spreadsheet. It turns out I like doing the same thing away from the dashboards, just with fewer numbers and a little more feeling.
This blog is where those two halves meet. It's where the part of me that trusts evidence sits down with the part that gets caught off guard by a sunset in an unfamiliar city, the hum of an engine on an open road, or a conversation that stays with me long after it's over. I write about technology, travel, and the world as I find it, sometimes with a raised eyebrow, sometimes with plain wonder, but always trying to understand a little more than I did the day before.
Politics wanders in here too, not by design but by necessity. When something feels unjust, or when history starts rhyming in ways it shouldn't, I'd rather put the discomfort into words than pretend I didn't notice. I try to do it honestly, with more curiosity than certainty, and without mistaking volume for being right.
Mostly, though, this is a place for thinking out loud: about the tools we build, the places we wander into, and the small, ordinary things that turn out to matter most. If that sounds like your kind of company, I'm glad you're here. There's usually a black iced coffee within reach and a question I haven't quite answered yet.
If something here resonates, or you just want to say hello, write to me at v@awonderfullife.ca. I read every one.
